The Killing’s Sofie Gråbøl leads award-winning European drama Prisoner. The Danish series follows the lives of four prison officers, including Gråbøl’s Miriam, as they deal with a jail plagued by bad press, power struggles and a drug trade.
Inspired by the novel "Fangeleg" by Frederik Louis Hviid. The show was co-written and co-directed by Frederik Louis Hviid and Michael Noer.
Lensed by cinematographer Adam Wallensten, the series benefitted from Cinelab’s DFD (Digital-Film-Digital) process. Transferring digitally captured footage on to Kodak 16mm 250D film stock and then processing and scanning back to digital, with an authentic film look applied.
