A24's The Death of Robin Hood, written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place Part II, Pig) and starring Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer, arrives in US cinemas on 19 June 2026, with a UK release following on 2 September. Shot on location in Northern Ireland, it is one of the most eagerly anticipated theatrical releases of the year - and one that passed through Cinelab from first roll to final scan.

Cinematographer Pat Scola shot the film entirely on Kodak 35mm film, 250D and 500T for principal photography, with select sequences captured on VERITA 200D, Kodak's newly announced colour negative stock. [Find out more about VERITA 200D] All film processing and 4K scanning was handled by Cinelab, with colour by Tom Poole at Company 3.

Shot on location in Northern Ireland, director Michael Sarnoski has spoken about the demands of shooting exteriors there in challenging February and March conditions. Building roads to locations, lighting up mountains, a crew pushing together through cold, hail, snow and mud to get the images Scola made there.

The Cinelab team on the production included Lab Manager Andy Hudson, Lab Producer Ingrid Civet, film processing by Lee Wright, Sara Marinangeli and John Allaker, with scanning led by Head of Scanning Paul Dean and operators Rob Wickings, Claire Quinn, Scott Liddle and James Wren.

The Death of Robin Hood is in US cinemas from 19 June. UK release 2 September 2026.
