2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards Longlist

The 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards longlist has been announced and we are delighted to see so many nominations for productions Cinelab have been proud to support.

Martin McDonagh’s THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN leads the way with 14 nominations including best film, screenplay, cinematography, editing, and nods for its stars Colin Farrell in leading actor, and both Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan in supporting actor.

Director Oliver Hermanus’ LIVING is up for six BAFTA’s. Lensed by director of photography Jamie Ramsay, LIVING is adapted by writer Kazuo Ishiguro, from the 1952 Japanese film IKIRU, directed by Akira Kurosawa.

THE WONDER, directed by Sebastián Lelio and lensed by director of photography Ari Wegner, received three BAFTA nominations, including Outstanding British Film – where it is alongside THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN, LIVING, and Georgia Oakley’s debut film BLUE JEAN, lensed by director of photography Victor Seguin.

Congratulations also to our colleagues in the postproduction teams on FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE, which receives a nomination in the special visual effects category.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony takes place on Sunday 19 February 2023.
