If we’re doing your dailies, we already have your data.
When Cinelab Film & Digital handles your dailies, your colour decisions, framing and metadata are already indexed. VFX and drama pulls can begin from the second day of the shoot, with no handover and no re-ingest, and every vendor submission is checked against the source before it costs you time and money.
Most VFX-heavy productions now work with several vendors at once. Hundreds of pull requests go out and thousands of shots come back, and many of those submissions reach the DI and picture finishing without a thorough technical check. The problems tend to surface late, when they are slowest and most expensive to put right.

Fluent handles the pulls: frame-accurate, consistently named, with colour and framing information attached, and delivered securely to vendors wherever they are. Coherence sits between the vendors and the picture finishing facility, running more than 60 technical and visual checks on every submission. Errors are caught on arrival, and corrected files come back without the usual back-and-forth.

Both tools come from fluent/image, whose team has spent fifteen years building automated pull workflows on productions including The Martian, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Matrix Resurrections, Argylle, and The Beekeeper 2.
Since fluent/image joined Cinelab in 2025, that experience has sat alongside our film laboratory, scanning and digital dailies, and the two belong together. The colour decisions, framing and metadata set at dailies are the same information every VFX pull depends on. All under one roof, nothing has to be handed over, re-ingested or rebuilt.
“Most submission problems aren’t hard to fix. They’re hard to find, Coherence finds them the moment they arrive, which is when they cost least.” Jon Ferguy, founder of fluent/image and now Cinelab's Chief Innovation Officer.
Each session runs for 45 minutes. We will walk through how the service works, give a live demonstration of a pull and a submission passing through QC, and there is time for questions.
Register for either session, or if you would rather talk through a specific production, request a private demo with us via salesteam@cinelab.co.uk
