The trailer for Werwulf, the new film from Robert Eggers (Nosferatu, The Northman, The Witch), is now available to watch.
Cinelab Film & Digital provided 35mm processing, scanning, and dailies colour on the production, shot on 35mm by cinematographer Jarin Blaschke.
Speaking to Esquire Magazine in his first interview about the film, Eggers offered a glimpse of the technical and creative ambition behind its distinctive visual approach:
"We shot on 35mm film and we used an orthochromatic treatment in post to make the skin tones more wrecked. Additionally, we've found a way to incorporate the grain structure of black and white film onto colour film. So it has a very unique look." Robert Eggers, Esquire Magazine - June 2026
Werwulf utilised a genuinely innovative approach to postproduction in filmmaking - one that builds on Cinelab's established expertise in hybrid film and digital workflows. Many will be familiar with our signature DFD (Digital–Film–Digital) process. What was achieved here goes further still, and we'll be sharing further technical details of our work on this project in due course.

Werwulf is released in cinemas Christmas 2026.
