Wes Anderson’s Latest, Shot on 35mm, Processed and Scanned at Cinelab

Opening in UK cinemas today, The Phoenician Scheme is the newest film from visionary director Wes Anderson. The story follows Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio del Toro), one of Europe’s wealthiest men; his daughter-turned-nun Liesl (Mia Threapleton); and their enigmatic tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera), in a characteristically whimsical and visually rich narrative.

The film was shot on 35mm 4-perf by cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel, bringing Anderson’s signature aesthetic to life with lush, analog texture. Cinelab Film & Digital handled the film processing and 4K scanning, ensuring every frame retained its handcrafted beauty from set to screen.
