The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will return for the third season on 11 November 2026, debuting a new teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con's last week – and now online.

Cinelab has provided digital dailies and dailies colour for the series since production relocated to the UK for season one, with our lab and colour suite based on-site at Shepperton throughout filming for season three. Lead dailies colourist for season three was Daniel Rosenberg, along with dailies colourist Scott Liddle.

The new season is directed by Charlotte Brändström, Stefan Schwartz and Sanaa Hamri, and lensed by cinematographers Gavin Finney, Gavin Struthers and Alex Disenhof. Primarily shooting on Arri Alexa 35.

Set five years after the fall of Eregion, season three finds Middle-earth at war, as Sauron's growing power forces the free peoples toward uneasy new alliances. New cast joining the season include Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Adam Young, Jamie Campbell Bower and Zubin Varla, with Simon Pegg voicing the Balrog.

The first four episodes premiere on Prime Video on 11 November, with episodes five and six following on 18 November, and the final two on 25 November.
